If we have tried our best to be receptive and nothing comes, we often don't have the luxury to sit back and wait and not take steps to improve our situation. With life decisions that affect us and others, we need to stay open and calm as much as possible, and take steps forward, using our own will and reason, asking for guidance along the way.
It is also important to keep open to changing course at any time. That way we don’t get attached to forging ahead at all costs and we continue to connect to our Inner Guide. It doesn’t mean that we should second guess ourselves but relax and do our best to be receptive to guidance. As you continue to cultivate a relationship with your inner voice, get quiet and learn to listen, only time and practice will show you if you are really getting intuitive guidance. If you get that 'Yes!' feeling and the result seems right for your highest Self and all others, even if, at times, it causes pain or teaches a difficult lesson, then we know that our intuition was at play. If not, we can chalk it up to fine tuning our listening and know the inkling we had was nothing but wishful thinking, fear, imagination or desire. Until we are enlightened, we will struggle with trying to get it right. Only when we can be so even minded, that through all of life’s experiences we attain a neutral, joyful attitude with constant surrender to the will of Spirit, will we be 100 percent in tune with our intuition. But like everything in life, it is not being right all the time that counts, it’s the process of learning and growing that brings us closer to that state of peace and joy. As we practice using our intuition, each step brings us closer to the true joy, peace, wisdom and love that is who we truly are.
